To compile the annual list, U.S. News & World Report evaluates multiple data categories including patient outcomes, patient volume, and more. Over 6,000 hospitals were evaluated for this prestigious award. Alice Peck Day Hospital, in partnership with UVNN, earned the high performance rating and ranked significantly better than the national average. In addition, we received excellent scores in how often patients are discharged directly to home post surgery. UVNN received excellent scores in patient experience  as a result of an inpatient survey where patients were asked to rate the overall quality of their stay, with more nursing care per patient associated with better outcomes and better patient experience.

When patient’s consider their options for care, rankings such as this are crucial in their decision-making process.
